As the winner of both the USA and World Championships in the event of a hurdle, Lolo Jones has reached her current position after many years of hard work and an enormous amount of perseverance. The daughter of a single parent with five children, Jones had a difficult and a squatter's growing up. The mother of her children was always moving around, and had even lived in a basement church for a brief duration. This nomadic life forced Jones to move to one of the schools every calendar year, up to the point she started in high school. At Theodore Roosevelt High School Jones resided apart from her mother so that she could pursue her interest in the track and field events. Jones was a resident of four houses during her highschool years in order to study at one site. Jones was a part of the Iowa School Orchestra and the Gatorade Track and Field Award. In addition, she won the award in school. Jones was among the top hurdlers at the time she started the university. In 2002, at the NCAA Track & Field Championship she took home the 100-meter hurdles. In addition, she was one of athletes on the runner-up team in the 100-meter relay event. Jones has won indoor hurdles at NCAA championships in 2003 as well as 2004. Jones began her track career after she completed her college studies. That same year, she placed first in her first Torino Memorial Event, while In 2026, she walked away with the Ostrava Track competition as well as Heusden.

Brandt was raised and born in Cape Town in South Africa. She emigrated to Auckland New Zealand with her family in her teens. The local casting directors discovered her. Brandt was cast in the role as Naevia for the Starz hits Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Working with producers Steven S. Lesley Brandt moved along with her entire family in Auckland New Zealand in 1999. She began her career at Auckland as a store manager, and was then promoted to a management consultant for IT. Lesley started her career with commercials following a number of modelling roles. She graduated with a degree in acting in 2008, and then continued to study the methods of Meisner. Lesley Brandt's very first recognizable performance was in the TV drama Diplomatic Immunity, which aired in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt made a guest appearance in New Zealand's TV drama Shortland Street with the character of supporting actor. She also appeared on a sci-fi drama series This Is Not My Life inspired by the anecdotal Waimoana city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt starred in the show Spartacus: Blood and Sand in the role of Naevia as a hostage. She then appeared in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena Miniseries.
