Srushti began preparing for the UPSC exam in her third-year of studying engineering. After graduation, she began to question whether or not she would enjoy a career in engineering position. Then, she realised civil engineering was her love and decided to pursue it. Her parents encouraged to study civil services and have an opportunity to work in public service. She was motivated to become an IAS officer and was focused on that goal. Achieving UPSC takes more work. She also prepared for UPSC exams while studying engineering. Every day, she set aside the time to study for exams. In only one and a half months she studied for engineering examinations, and stayed away from all contact with people. The focus she believes is crucial to be able to pass the test to get a government job, and be able to work as a civil servant. She was determined to pass the exam in the first try and put in a lot of hard work. She used to read newspapers to keep up-to-date on current affairs every day. Rajya Sabha TV and online studies were also of excellent resource for her. IAS Srushti Deskmukh IAS Srushti Deskmukh wrote a book titled, The Answer Writing Handbook. Each library across America contains this book. It is an excellent guide to IAS candidates who are preparing for the examination. Through their social media accounts the husband frequently post updates about their relationship and the duties they perform.
